Dr. Ang Chin Sim
Dr. Ang Chin Sim is an internationally qualified medical doctor and eye surgeon. Her impressive medical and surgical qualifications span the globe, from Australia, Singapore to the United Kingdom.
Dr. Ang Chin Sim is a keen and caring ophthalmologist who has been practising clinical and surgical ophthalmology for almost 2 decades. She has a sub-specialist interest in cataract surgery and other forms of anterior surgery.
Prior to her current position at ACS Eye Specialists, Dr. Ang was an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at University Putra Malaysia, where she headed the ophthalmology department in the medical faculty. At the same time Dr. Ang also was a visiting consultant opthalmologist at Selayang Hospital where the primary tertiary eye centre for Malaysia is situated. Here Dr. Ang was given the duties of supervising junior ophthalmologists and medical officers in cataract surgeries in addition to performing complicated cataract surgeries.
Dr. Ang's broad and comprehensive post graduate ophthalmology experience was honed at Kuala Lumpur Hospital where in addition to practising in the many sub-specialty fields of ophthalmology, she ran the diabetic retinopathy subspecialty clinic. Subsequently Dr. Ang headed the glaucoma subspecialty clinic before moving on to University Putra Malaysia as a clinician, surgeon and academician.
In addition to being the resident consultant ophthalmologist at ACS Eye Specialists, Dr. Ang is also an honourary consultant ophthalmologist at Tung Shin Hospital in Kuala Lumpur.
